My two cousins, Carmen and Cameron, didn't know what they were in for. My kids are obsessed with them. They're not adults (15 and 12), but they are big enough to do everything adults do...and they look A LOT younger. According to Ava, they're "Big Kids", which makes them prime-time play pals.
I am sure that C&C are resting quietly in VA tonight! TARMEN!
Saturday morning we headed out to watch Carmen at swim practice, so Ava could see that she does actually go under the water. Although, Ava's not sure why...
We then regrouped and headed to the Metro at the Pentagon. The kids got to take their first Metro ride up to the DC Zoo. They even changed lines...they're pros!
The weather was beautiful and the animals for the most part were out and about. Except for those few at the beginning who were napping.
You know who you are.
And I know it wasn't Max.
And here was Max at his favorite exhibit...CAT. No, not lions or tigers...
The are building a new elephant house, so to him, the digger, bulldozer and assorted construction equipment were the best animals he had seen all day.
Kelani is a puppy and apparently needed some schooling. Ava was her teacher for puppy school this morning.
This lesson was on face licking. When it's appropriate and when it's not...
Max, that goes for you too.

Thanks again for the rest, food, shopping and fun!
We had a great time and miss you all! XOXO
