Max, true to his nature, had other plans. He was coming out, his way, and fast. Rib healed or not.
His actual birthday was the first of November but the big family celebration was on the 3rd. And he's grown into quite the handsome young man with a soft spot for graham crackers.
We had a small party with only 6 kids (4 that were 1 and under). Max being the only boy of the little group had invited his girlfriends, Brenna, Maura and Mia.
Ava and Drew being 3 and almost 3 supervised the festivities. And made quiet suggestions about when the cake needed to be served.

Max is very into anything with wheels. So we had a truck themed birthday, complete with a cake by yours truly.
Max wasn't really into his "smash" cake but he made sure he gave all of his peeps big, wet kisses before they left!
Wait till Brenna and Max are teenagers...this is blackmail material!

Brooke, that cake is so creative! Was it a sheet cake? it looks wavy on the edges. How did you get the gray for the road? I'm thinking of stealing this idea for the boys' first b-day; although the theme may change about a thousand times before then. :)
Congrats on passing the "1" marker! I can't belive it's been well over a year since we've seen you guys. sniff-sniff.
