Saturday, we grilled some burgers at Gigi & Papa's with our friends from the big city to our East. We just relaxed and enjoyed the mountain air. We don't get to see them enough, hopefully we can fix that!
Then Saturday evening we headed to another cookout. And there was a HUGE chocolate cake, which has the power to make everyone silly, including me. And especially when your teeth are covered in chocolate. Remember Gigi?!?
How about that one...?
Then the fireworks started and we had not one, but two shows to watch. Then the kids did the sparkler thing, which just made my butt clench, because knowing Max, he was going to set someone or something on fire.
But much to my surprise he didn't. Must have been the helmet.
Later this week I'll post "Part 2 - Sunday in Happy Valley". Be ready for a walking tour of campus and a building quiz! Just kidding, no quiz. And ADORABLE pics of the kids on the lion. We're talking Christmas card material folks.
I consider Sunday, our public service work for 2009. I am quite certain we prevented several teen pregnancies with our own special brand of birth control while touring campus.
That's right, we were those people at the Creamery!

chocolate cake, cowboy hats, sparklers, and sunsets. Sounds like a successful fourth!
Very sad we missed out on State College...we really need to get the kids up there! Looking forward to seeing the pics!
